About me
Jennifer Smith may be one of the most common names you will ever hear, however, this Jennifer is anything but common. Jennifer partakes in family archery, sewing without math, uncomfortable situations, and half an hour in the morning before anyone is up. Always up for a challenge, Jennifer moved to a small acreage, during the pandemic, with her family and ever-growing animal population. Blessed with Attention Deficit Disorder, Jennifer has the unique ability to focus her energy and attention to promote positive changes in education. Working for Red Deer Catholic Regional School Division she is currently teaching grade three students. Jennifer is passionate about developing high-quality literacy instruction, growing inclusive practices, numeracy development, and engaging students and teachers through technology. In the past she worked as an Early Learning Lead Teacher, specializing in supporting Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 1 teachers and students. Jennifer graduated from the University of Seattle with a Master's in Educational Leadership in June 2017. Throughout her program, she maintained a focus on student, teacher, and community regulation. Jennifer is dedicated to transforming education by bringing in more originative ways of thinking and acting.
