About me
Christine has dedicated most of her career to teaching in early education, with a focus on intervention. She has completed graduate studies in Early Childhood Education and is Forest-School certified, applying effective strategies such as play-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and literacy interventions for students from Pre-K to Grade 6. A passionate educator with extensive experience in Scouting, Christine emphasizes the importance of outdoor education and integrates movement and mindfulness to support mental health and wellness. She creates supportive environments, recognizing literacy and numeracy as vital tools for social justice that empower students to break the cycle of poverty. As a teacher and parent of neurodiverse adults with ADHD and Autism, Christine leverages her personal experiences, including those related to an autoimmune disease, to foster an inclusive classroom. She understands diverse learning needs, promotes self-regulation, and values flexibility and resilience. Her insights into neurodiversity enable her to effectively support students facing challenges while modeling empathy and self-advocacy.
