About me
Christa Chapman has been practicing mindfulness, meditation and yoga for over 20 years, and has completed a 500hr Modo/Moksha yoga teacher training, is a certified yin yoga (80hr), meditation instructor (200hr) and enrolled in a Social Emotional Learning/Mindfulness for Educators Facilitator yoga training (200hr). Christa is passionate about educating adults and youth from all backgrounds about the scientific evidence and proven research behind why integrating movement such as yoga, mindfulness and meditation into your daily routine are beneficial to your mental, emotional and physical health. Christa is also a practicing visual artist whose mixed media paintings communicate themes that surround human identification through the exploration of sociological constructs such as social status, gender, consumerism, and societal roles. They also convey themes surrounding gender in relation to stereotypes, the media, and popular culture. Christa Chapman received a B.F.A.; B.Ed. (both with distinction) from the University of Lethbridge and has been an art educator with Edmonton Public Schools for over 20 years.
