About me
Cindy Matheson and Cam Pizzey are experienced educators with over three decades of combined teaching and leadership experience. Cam, an accomplished educational leader, brings over 30 years of experience, including 15 years in administrative roles, most recently as Principal at Don Campbell Elementary in Red Deer, Alberta. His strong background includes leading professional learning environments, community engagement, and trauma-informed practices, supported by a Master’s in Educational Leadership and extensive professional development in trauma awareness. Cindy has a proven track record in fostering inclusive, trauma-informed practices and addressing diverse learning needs within the Red Deer Public School Board. With a Master’s in Education specializing in Leadership and Inclusive Education, she has excelled as a Coordinator, collaborating with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student needs. Additionally, she contributed to shaping future educators as an instructor in the Bachelor of Education program at Red Deer Polytechnic. Now both serving as Education Facilitators at the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Center, Cindy and Cam are eager to leverage their expertise and collaborative focus to support the organization’s mission of disrupting human trafficking and fostering systemic change.
